Acceptable Use Policy

Everyone on Oriel must follow these rules. Violations may result in content removal or account termination.

Updated August 18, 2026

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) supplements our Terms of Service. It defines prohibited conduct on Oriel — the modular link-in-bio builder at oriel.page — including public pages, uploaded media, embeds, and commerce features.

Report abuse: abuse@oriel.page

General rules

You may not use Oriel to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or deceptive content
  • Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Collect personal data from visitors without lawful basis and notice
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Circumvent fees, usage limits, or security measures

Content restrictions

Public pages must not prominently feature or link to illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (we report to authorities), non-consensual intimate imagery, or content promoting violence or terrorism.

Adult content must comply with applicable law and Stripe's restricted business policies if you accept payments. Gambling, weapons, and other high-risk categories may be restricted for commerce.

Widgets and embeds

You are responsible for content displayed through Link, Bio, Image, Social, Embed, and Product widgets — including third-party iframes and social feeds. Do not embed content that violates this AUP or loads malicious scripts.

Commerce

Sellers must comply with our Seller & Commerce Terms. Prohibited sales include counterfeit goods, stolen items, products that violate export controls, and anything barred by Stripe or card network rules.

Buyers and sellers must resolve transaction disputes in good faith. Oriel is not the merchant of record and does not mediate buyer–seller disputes except where required by law.

Username and branding

Usernames at oriel.page must not impersonate Oriel, celebrities, brands, or government entities. We may reclaim usernames that infringe trademarks or create confusion.

Automated access

Scraping, bulk registration, or API abuse is prohibited unless we provide explicit written permission. Rate limits and technical blocks may apply to protect the platform.

Enforcement

We may remove content, disable pages, suspend Stripe Connect access, or terminate accounts at our discretion. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to law enforcement. Appeals may be sent to abuse@oriel.page with your username and a description of the issue.

Changes

We may update this AUP. Continued use of Oriel after changes constitutes acceptance. See also our DMCA Policy for copyright complaints.
